This morning over coffee I asked Thieu if I gave him the choice between an endless amount of shares and an endless amount of hairs which would he choose.
'I would want to see it written down,' he said, 'because knowing you if I chose the hairs you'd give me hares.' 'Good point,' I said. 'And you'd probably want to check out what shares they were too, I guess. It'd be a shame to give up the hair for dud shares.' Thieu agreed that this would be wise. The other catch was that whatever you chose would mean you immediately had none at all of the other. Choose the hair, all the shares vanish. Choose shares and you are instantly and irrevocably bald.
'Shares then,' decided Thieu. 'Because I could then go and buy a wig.'
