So, this whole blog thing. I've been keeping one for about three years now (or is it even longer? I can't remember) and it has changed considerably. To start with it was purely a research blog and I recorded things I'd found on the internet about blogs and linked to blogs that I thought were interesting and kept myself out of it as much as possible. Then I introduced a comic strip which was nice because it added a graphic element.
But slowly it all changed. I started including more diaristic elements and the research component started to fall by the wayside. Then last year everything changed when I started doing paid writing and discovered I was having a baby. The blog seemed less important than either of these things. Theoretically I am still doing the MA (although I've neither deferred nor enrolled this year as yet) but I would be hard pushed to call what I've been putting in the blog recently 'research.' And the blogs I read at the moment tend to be very parent-focussed.
So I'm not sure what to do. Do I ditch the MA and concentrate on the paid writing? Do I ditch the blog and keep up with the occasional blog entry or do I try to throw myself back into the blog as research thing and attempt to get the MA finished?
Whatever. Maddles is politely requesting I attend to her nether regions and what can I do but obey.
