I somehow stumbled across this fascinating site (fascinating if you like statistics, I suppose.)
For instance, American Samoa has the lowest rate of migration at -20.71 migrants per 1000 people where as Afghanistan has the highest at 23.06 per 1000. Australia has a measly 3.98 but then, the UK only has 2.19 which surprises me.
Hong Kong has the lowest birth rate at 7.23 per 100 people and Niger has the highest at 48.91, but then Niger has an infant mortality rate of 122.66 deaths per 1000 live births, compared to Australia's 4.76.
The problem with keeping a travel diary as I did last year when Thieu and I were in Europe is that it keeps reminding you of what you were doing this time last year. This is particularly a problem if you keep the diary beside your desk at work.
For instance, on May 10th we were in Pamplona and yesterday last year we were driving through the Pyrennes eating a picnic lunch to a most spectacular view. This isn't to say that I'm not happy and content at the moment - really, and truly I am. Book, baby etc. All very good. But still.. Spain. The Pyrennes. Holidays. Drinking a bottle of red wine every night (the wine is much much lighter over there. No really it is.) It was nice. And it seems like a very long time ago.
